We are Kevin & Katie Keys and we love to travel within the beautiful scenery throughout America on our way to performing piano concerts for our fans. The beauty and history of this country inspire us be more appreciative of the natural surroundings that we find throughout America and it draws us closer to nature, to our God, and to our music. In fact, the beauty of this country we live in and travel through inspires our music and allows us to create new music from the beauty and majesty that is all around us. We travel in either our piano-keyboard themed convertible sports car or sports truck. It depends whether we have our children with us or not.

They have been a tremendous help to us and our Piano Tour of America because touring can be very expensive and their sponsorship helps us in a big way. We appreciate what Tim & Erik do for us with their time & investment in our musical lives as well as for other people within the American piano community. They simply ask us to put their logo sign on the front grill of our two travel vehicles so their name can be displayed as we drive through America. But apart from that we have no obligation to them. We especially love the mountains and streams in the high country of America and there are so many places that we have been traveling through with a variety of famous forests, lakes, streams, and wildlife. The nature that is all around us when we travel is something that is hard to forget. When we see beautiful nature in America, it reminds us of beautiful music. You can know that it’s beautiful just by seeing it and hearing it. We love to take our custom piano-keyboard themed convertible truck on these trips with our kids so that Karson & Kylie can have a safe place to sit in our vehicle as we drive through some of our favorite areas of nature. We home-school our children so that they can travel with us occasionally and see the beauty of America up close and personal and learn from what they see and hear.
When Katie and I are traveling together, we also love to travel on historical roadways whenever we get the chance because there is a lot to see and learn on roads that travelers have been on for decades and even hundreds of years. One such historical road is called “Route 66” which starts in Chicago and ends at the Ocean in Southern California. Since we love to travel through the deserts of America whenever we can, we were able to connect with Route 66 in the high Arizona desert and explore it from that area. It’s always fun for us to meet and talk with the people who live and/or work in those general areas and see what life is like for them. Sometimes we even get a chance to play our music for the local people on a portable piano-keyboard that we travel with.
Not long ago we had an opportunity to drive through one of our favorite towns in the state of Arizona called “Sedona.” This special town located in Northern Arizona is famous throughout America, and many tourists travel there when they come to Arizona along with going to the Grand Canyon. Sedona is known for its unique red rocks mountain beauty and green natural trees and bushes. The town of Sedona has so many great places to stay and enjoy the beauty that surrounds the town. There are famous shopping places there with Indian jewelry and clothing along with historical natural streams and rivers. The weather is also comfortable much of the year there and we love to visit this popular place whenever we can.
One of our most favorite places to travel is to the coast near the ocean. We really do love the ocean, the beach, and the natural surroundings of those areas. Sometimes we take our kids with us and sometimes Katie and I like to be together without the kids just so we can have some time while our children stay with relatives near where we live. It just depends on the time of year and our family activities. Katie and I try to arrange things so that when we travel, we also can play special duet piano concerts at a local performance venues. It’s a great way for us to see the beauty of America and experience its history and also play piano for people who appreciate our music.
Once in a while we travel at night to places on a beautiful warm evening that have a higher elevation near the ocean to see all the nighttime beauty of the surrounding ocean and the city lights shining brightly in the distance. If you have ever done that then you know what we are talking about. However, if you have never had that experience before then we definitely recommend it. We can even tell you where the best views are and the driving routes to take to see they great places that we have been to.
We love to travel to beautiful and historical American places almost as much as we love to play piano concerts for our fans such as what we are doing here playing a private concert at the beautiful lush botanical gardens forest. There is beauty in music and beauty in nature and they definitely go together wherever we go which inspires us to create and play more piano music. We want the people who listen to our music to feel good and respond to the music that inspires us to play piano along with teaching piano to adults and children. We want people to enjoy being able to play music on a good acoustic or digital piano as much as we like playing it. Music is so much a part of life and we always want to be a part of the music and share it with people.
