Kevin and Katie Keys – America’s Premier Husband & Wife Piano Playing Duo

Kevin & Katie Keys 4th of July 250 year celebration

This year in 2026 on the week of July 4th Katie and I got to participate in some celebration activities including playing patriotic piano music at special public and private celebrations. It was an honor for us to be at Mount Rushmore as well as a private governors party at a mansion home high up in the hills on July 4th. When it comes to the music we love and playing it on pianos, this is one of our favorite holidays.

But for our country’s 250 year 4th of July celebration it was even more of an honor and thrill for us to be chosen to be the musical guests at many events including the previously mentioned private Governors celebration party with very high ranking political guests and stars from the entertainment world. The private surroundings were beautiful, the fireworks in the sky were amazing, and the grand pianos we were playing on were perfect. It was definitely one of the highlights of the year.

We were also invited to national patriotic sites to play piano during the week of 4th of July including America’s Liberty Bell Center where our country’s original Liberty Bell is kept. It is a public place in Philadelphia, PA for people to visit and see special important old objects from our nation’s past and also see a part of our history, especially as we think about our country’s founding days 250 years ago. We really enjoyed playing patriotic duets on their grand pianos and entertaining the crowds of people who were there.

Also during that same week we went over to play patriotic piano music during a special Statue of Liberty ceremony and we really enjoyed doing that. The “Statue of Liberty” is a very important historical landmark for our country and is a recognized symbol of American freedom and citizenship for all who want to become Americans. Our time there was very meaningful to us and we enjoyed providing piano music for those who came to listen to us and partake in the ceremony there.

As patriotic Americans we care about the men & women who gave their lives for our country in various military service and wars we have had as a country since the beginning. We take the time to visit cemeteries throughout our country, including Arlington National Cemetery, and to remember fallen soldiers and military personnel who have died defending our freedom over the years. These people were and are very important to our country, and to us, and should never be forgotten. So we salute them and their families and we honor what they have done for all of us.

Of course, while we were near DC and the White House, we could not miss going there to see it in person. That’s where America’s government headquarters is centered and we wanted to be there to see and appreciate it in person during this very special week in our country’s history.

We wanted to make sure our children, Karson & Kylie, were a part of our country’s 4th of July celebration. So we took them to a big 4th of July musical event in our are local area because we all love music and wanted to take some time with the kids, relax, and just be with the people to celebrate this once in a lifetime 250 year 4th of July celebration. It was great fun and the music was fantastic, and it gave us time just to be together as a family. We had an amazing week of celebration and music.
